In this workshop, you'll learn the basics of making up songs on the spot, including simple melodies, rhyming, keeping the beat, and how to turn everyday scenes into catchy musical moments. We’ll explore how to listen and support your scene partners as well as the essentials of rhythm, styling, and musical storytelling. Perfect for improvisers looking to add a new dimension to their skills, this class will have you singing, laughing, and creating show-stopping moments in no time!
Daytime workshops at the Big Couch Binge offer something for improvisers of all levels—from those just starting out to seasoned performers looking to deepen their skills. This particular workshop does require intermediate improv knowledge, especially experience using devices.

About the Instructor - Lynae Leblanc
Lynae Leblanc is a veteran improviser and comedy writer. As original cast member of BASN, this is her 5th or 6th Shakespeare festival- it’s hard to say exactly, her memory is garbage. She’s thrilled to continue the streak with The Tempest and is planning a career first- performing in the kaftan she would have worn anyway had she not left the house.
