10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Method acting is a technique or type of acting in which an actor aspires to encourage sincere and emotionally expressive performances by fully inhabiting the role of the character.
The workshop will introduce participants to methods of identifying with, understanding, and experiencing a character's inner motivation and emotions.
These techniques were originally developed by the Russian actor and director Konstantin Stanislavski and further developed by Lee Strasberg, Stella Adler and Sanford Meisner.
Find your own personal way to incorporate these exercises while working through a scene with other participants and working on a monologue of your choice. Can method acting work for cold readings? Sign up for the answer!
This will be a fun and non-threatening class where all participants will be equal with no judgement.
Please bring a one minute monologue from a published play (not musical).
Instructor: Aaron Washington
