On your introduction each dog and handler team will get 3 trails to build an understanding a love for the game. Dogs are all worked individually so your dog will need to be comfortable resting in vehicles between turns (take someone with you if you aren't sure how they will cope).
Because all dogs work individually this is a great sport for those dogs who might be nervous or reactive around other dogs. If your dog struggles around other people and you think it might not work, don't worry please get in touch as this can be accommodated for.
Mantrailing is an incredibly addictive and enjoyable dog sport that everyone can enjoy with their dogs. You will be training your dog to find a 'missing person' by following their unique scent left behind. Using their incredible sense of smell, your dog will locate the 'missing person' and get a super reward at the end making it enjoyable and fun for everyone (even the missing person - who doesn't love being found by a dog and getting to give them lots of rewards).
Mantrailing provides your dog with an appropriate and constructive outlet for their natural hunting abilities, as well as strengthening your bond with your dog, and the added benefit of tiring them out!
Once you have completed a Mantrailing Intro (with me or any other Mantrailing UK/Global Instructor) then you can join the Mantrailing training sessions which will progress you forward as a team.
Must have's for Mantrailing: Harness & long line. You will get a welcome email with Information prior to your Introduction.
