This is an introductory class for surface embroidery and the concept of mandalas.
Class length: 5 hours

Class Description: This is an introductory class for surface embroidery and the concept of mandalas. We will learn about the history of mandalas and explore their modern use. The class will cover basics like how to thread a needle, tie knots, use an embroidery hoop, and transfer design elements to fabric. For those who already have this basic knowledge, we will cover how to design your own simple mandalas to embroidery. This class will cover the following stitches: chain stitch, lazy daisy, fly stitch, French knot, and pistol stitch.
Kit Contents: 8 skeins of cotton floss, hoop, and needle.
Supplies: All materials will be handed out to you at the start of class. You will need to supply a pair of scissors, compass, fabric pencil, and ruler.
Class Minimum: 3 students

Cancellation policy: SNAD will refund tuition less a $25 processing fee up to 3 days (72 hours) prior to class start time. No refunds for cancellations with less than 3 days notification before class start time.
