Description
Theres something special about sending and receiving a beautiful letter through the post. This little mundace act that we all have access to but is rarely done can brighten a persons day. In this workshop we'll learn the basics of lino printing, using a variety of mark making techiniques and print your own writing set.
No experience nessecary, this workshop is suitable for beginners and is 3 hours long. Tickets for the workshop will be available as either a morning session 10am-3pm or afternoon session 2pm-5pm. This workshop is for adults young and old, 16 years and up.
Learn How To:
-Carve using relief printing tools
-Create textures and designs using a variety of markmaking
-Experiment with colour using variety of inks
-Transfer your design to paper and evelopes
-Ink your lino
-Use a table top printing press
You will finish the class feeling confident in carving your own future lino prints for other projects and leave with a hand printed wrting set of colourful envelopes and papers and a lino stamp that you can use again to print more writing sets.
Everthing you need will be supplied and there will be refresments on offer.

Hi! My name is Ian and I'm an artist that enjoys relief printing. I've run printing workshops for over 4 years now and have worked with organisations like the National Festival of Making, Lancashire wildlife trust, Super Slow Way, Royal Horticulture Society and many more. I hope you can join me in this workshop and make something beautiful.
