About this Event
Join us for a fantastic workshop where you can learn or practice knitting skills and create a beautiful piece to take home, either for yourself or as a gift. You’ll master the essentials: casting on, casting off, knitting, and purling, which are the foundation of all knitting projects. Building on these basics, you'll learn to knit flowers that capture the essence of nature's beauty.
Our experienced knitting tutor, Cathy, will guide you step-by-step using a variety of colorful wools and patterns. By the end of the session, you'll have crafted your own flower, perfect for turning into a brooch or adding a cheerful touch to a plain tote bag or cushion.
Whether you’re refreshing your skills or learning new ones, this class offers the opportunity to create several flowers, as some designs are quick and easy to complete.
It’s a perfect workshop for the summer months!
About the Teacher
Cathy from Threads UK learned to sew and knit as a child, but it was inheriting her grandma's button collection that rekindled her passion. With a background in community work, she founded Threads, an informal crafting group. Cathy now hosts monthly knitting sessions, eager to share her skills with fellow crafters. You can find out more about Threads UK here.
