About this Event
In this hands-on workshop, artist Cat Mazza will introduce her web application knitPro, which translates digital images into needlecraft grid patterns.
Mazza will show examples of how it has been used globally by craft hobbyists, mobilizing participants in various initiatives including the anti-sweatshop quilt the Nike Blanket Petition, the pro-peace campaign Stitch for Senate and the COVID-19 lock-down project Pandemic Views, which is currently on view at Northeastern Crossing.
Participants can learn how to use knitPro and get started on a small cross-stitch project.
No cross-stitch experience is required. Craft materials are provided, but we recommend that attendees bring their own phone, iPad, or laptop if possible.
