Are you an advocate or local leader looking to encourage better buildings in your community? Do you want to learn more about how you can become a small real estate developer for a project in your neighborhood? This initiative is funded by the City of Norman. Norman, Oklahoma has become the first US city to simultaneously adopt seven integrated comprehensive master plans (land use, housing, transportation, stormwater, water, wastewater, and sanitation) in a single unanimous vote, following a 2.5-year transformation directly inspired by Strong Towns lectures in 2022-2023. Mayor Holman, in collaboration with Councilmember Peacock, an architect, and the rest of the Norman City Council, champions mixed-use development and walkability. The city is now overhauling its development code and subdivision standards, creating a pivotal opportunity for Incremental Development Alliance education to shape implementation of these groundbreaking plans.
Join us for a free lecture by IncDev Faculty Member, Eric Kronberg. Doors open at 5:30pm. The lecture will begin promptly at 6:00pm. Happy hour prices and small bites are on offer by our gracious host, The Standard.
