This is an intensive beginners’ 2-day course to learn the core skills of improvised comedy.Discover the joy, freedom, and challenge of Improv. Learn to be more creative and playful in this low-pressure, high-enjoyment class that cultivates a fun, friendly, supportive and stress-free environment.
Improv is not the same as stand-up; you are not alone on stage and it’s not about telling jokes. It’s about working together as a team with other improvisers to spontaneously create group stories, scenes & sketches. There’s no such thing as failure in improve!
Over two days you’ll progress as a team while learning core improvisation skills like Spontaneity, Listening, Yes And Character, Scenes, Story, and Status.
This course is suitable for adults aged 18+ years. It is open to beginners; no drama, acting, comedy or improv experience is required as full guidance is given. It is also open to writers, actors, and comedians looking to widen their skills, and to introverts who are wanting to gain more confidence!
