This session was originally scheduled for Thursday 14th March 2024 but was postponed to Thursday 2nd May 2024 in the Golden Wattle room of the Innovation and Education Hub.
If you booked to attend the original date, your booking has been transferred to the new session and you don't need to do anything else.
Introduction to HIV will provide attendees with an overview of the history, epidemiology, transmission, prevention, testing and management of HIV.
The session is aimed at people requiring introductory level information about HIV or those who may have recently commenced work in the blood borne virus and STI sector.
The session will be presented by nurses with many years' experience working in the field of HIV treatment and prevention. A speaker from the Positive Speakers Bureau will share information from the perspective of a person living with HIV.
