6 Tuesdays: Jan 25 - Mar 1, 2022 // 7-8pm
In this 6 week hand drumming class participants will learn the basics of hand drumming. We will focus mainly on learning to play the Djembe but will also explore a variety of percussion instruments like shakers, bells, and bass drums. We’ll be learning about the history of different drums and percussion instruments, learn specific techniques and exercises for each instrument and explore a variety of traditional and non-traditional rhythms from around the world. We'll also learn the do's and don't's of drumming etiquette.
No experience necessary and participants must have their own hand drum. Jared can help you purchase and find a drum prior to the class starting.
⏰ When: 6 Tuesdays, Jan 25 thru Mar 1, 7:00 - 8:00pm. Check-in begins at 6:30pm. Please arrive on time.
