Join us at the Morgan Hill Library on Saturday, September 28th at 3pm, to learn about gluten-free baking from The Family Chef, Amy Fothergill.Baking gluten-free can be tricky with so many flours and ingredients on the market, and recipes on the internet. During this presentation Chef Amy will discuss the basics of gluten-free baking, the different flours available, as well as show you how to make your own healthy blend. She will also demonstrate how to make some introductory recipes (which you will get to taste!) plus provide tips on how to convert regular recipes to gluten-free.
A little background about The Family Chef, Amy Fothergill:
Chef Amy's special-diet journey began in 2007 when she started cooking gluten-free and dairy-free for her daughter. In order to accomplish this daunting task, she used her culinary training and years of experience in the kitchen to teach herself a new way of cooking. She experimented with ingredients and techniques necessary for recreating traditional dishes into equally delicious adapted versions. Currently, she is a speaker, instructor, consultant for both families and restaurants, and blogger. She also wrote the award winning gluten-free cookbook, The Warm Kitchen: Gluten-Free Recipes Anyone Can Make and Everyone Will Love. Learn more at https://amythefamilychef.com/
