About This Event
Urban agriculture is the production, processing, distribution, and sale of food within urban and suburban areas for noncommercial/hobby, commercial, educational, or nonprofit purposes. In this day and age where agricultural land is more difficult to find, urban agriculture could be a solution for farmers and growers to continue providing the public with high-quality crops.
This workshop will teach participants general aspects of urban agriculture including vertical farming, hydroponics systems, composting, Integrated Pest management, and more. A demonstration of the different urban agricultural systems will be part of the workshop.
