Welcome to the Dry Needle Felting Club, where you'll dive into the fascinating world of an ancient craft that has become a popular, creative pastime. In this course, you'll gain a comprehensive understanding of the various tools used in dry needle felting, including different types and sizes of needles and their applications. Through a combination of demonstrations, detailed handouts, and guided practical activities, you'll learn to create stunning 2-dimensional images and basic 3-dimensional sculptures, transforming wool into intricate pieces of art.
By the end of the course, you will have explored a range of techniques such as layering wool to create 2-dimensional images, with practical tips on how to frame your work for display or attach it to materials for items like pencil cases. Additionally, you'll be introduced to the basic techniques of shaping and felting wool into 3-dimensional models, gaining a foundational understanding of simple armature and its applications. Join us in the Dry Needle Felting Club to discover the joys of this versatile and expressive craft, and take home your own unique creations.
Attendance: This club will last for 4 weeks. You will attend college at our Boston Campus (Rochford), starting Tuesday 21st January 2025, 6:00pm - 9:00pm.
