This workshop is an introduction for complete beginners to the world of hand spinning on a drop spindle. Participants will be introduced to the process of spinning and the different spindles available. Next the participants will be shown how to use a simple drop spindle and then start spinning by themselves. The workshop will finish with taking the newly spun yarn off the spindle, with an explanation of plying and how to wash and fix the yarn ready for knitting, crochet or whatever you wish to use it for!
All materials are supplied including use of a drop spindle that may be purchase at the end of the workshop if you wish.
