About this Event
Introduction to drawing and painting the portrait is a perfect way to develop or refine your portrait drawing/painting skills to achieve a likeness to your subject. In this series, we will draw and paint portraits from a live model each week while learning fundamental concepts and tools to portray realistic portraits. No experience is required for this class. We will start our journey into portraiture with charcoal and paper, moving into oil (or acrylic if preferred) paints using a monochrome palette, next introducing the Zorn palette, and finally giving free reign to use the color palette that best suits you!
This class is 4 sessions long on Thursdays from 6-9 PM from 1/9 through 1/30/2025. Each class is $45 and the series is $180 total for all four classes.
