Single two-hour sessions: Friday, November 8th and Friday, December 13thclass limited to 8 participants
Creating art using a continuous line is both fun and rewarding. This fine art technique will increase your observation skills as well as your hand/eye coordination. You will learn to “see” your subject and draw it in a loose and free flowing style. Your instructor, local artist Karren Case, will start you with some fun drawing exercises which she likes to call “drunk drawing”. By the end of the session, you will have two finished pieces of unique artwork. A continuous line “portrait” and a continuous line (easy) still life. Splashes of acrylic paint will be used to add color to your final frame-worthy project.
Karren Case is a member and studio artist at LAST Art Gallery in downtown McKinney. Her art experience includes watercolors, acrylics, oils, alcohol inks. Her current passion is painting with oils and cold wax using palette knives. She is a member of the Art Club of McKinney and the McKinney Plein Air Society. Karren has participated in art exhibitions locally for several years. She and her husband moved to McKinney in 2012 from Louisiana and are very happy to now call this area “home”.
