Introduction to Colored Pencil Drawing and Painting

Explore basic techniques and color theory in this beginner friendly, one-day, colored pencil workshop at the Creative Arts School on January 21, 2025 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Hour 1: Learn about materials, pencil types, and paper surfaces. Practice basic strokes, layering, and blending to understand color control and value.
Hour 2: Begin a simple step-by-step project focusing on light source, layering, and smooth color transitions.
Hour 3: Add details, highlights, and finishing touches while learning how to create depth and texture.

By the end of the session, students complete a small drawing and gain confidence to continue exploring this versatile and rewarding medium.
