Introduction to Colored Clay $80

Learn the basics of colored clay by exploring the techniques and skills of clay marbling. The class will start by exploring mason stains and oxides as a way to color clay, then move towards simple wedging techniques to create a marbled pattern. Students will then learn to roll slabs and cut their marbled clay to make two press-molded trays. Students should be prepared to wedge clay for the first portion of the class.
