About this Event
Learn about the fundamentals of Cognitive Behavioural Approaches and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). CBT is an evidence-based approach that can improve understanding of everyday problems and how to deal with them more effectively. Participants will learn how to identify triggers, thoughts, feelings, physical symptoms and behaviours and how they impact on functioning. The training will centre on how to complete and use the CBT 5 Areas model.
On completion of this course participants will have:
· Learnt the elements of the CBT 5 Areas model.
· Developed skills in creating a shared understanding of a patient’s problem.
· Enhanced empathetic listening skills.
· Learnt the basic principles of guided discovery and how to use this practically.
Please note, if you are a non-medical registrant who is eligible for Continual Professional Development (CPD) funding this course will account as part of your annual allowance for CPD funding.
