About :
The course will look at what is required to maintain a healthy barefoot horse, looking at whole horse health including diet, nutrition, stress, environment and focusing on the equine hoof.
The course will also teach horse owners what a healthy functioning hoof should look like. It will teach horse owners what can safely be trimmed off and what must be left to allow the horse to have a sound functioning hoof.
Its important to highlight that this is a horse owners informative 2 day course that will teach the very basic principles. Training to become a barefoot specialist takes years of training, this course will NOT train you to become a barefoot specialist and you will be asked to sign a waiver realise form stating you understand this.

The importance Diet and nutrition and effect on the hooves
Environment & Movement
Basic Hoof Anatomy
Cadaver demo trim and students practical
Demo Trim on live horse
Safety whilst trimming
Students observe then practice basic rasping and maintenance.
Trimming tools and tool handling and safety.
The Price is £220 for the whole weekend tea,coffee and cake will be provided, please bring a packed lunch for both days.
