About this Event

The digitization of the automotive industry is seeing rapid growth, with vehicles becoming increasingly connected. This new connectivity with the electrification of the vehicular environment has created new challenges related to cybersecurity. New regulations and standards have emerged to manage these challenges and ensure functional safety and data privacy from potential cyber threats.

It is crucial for all stakeholders, particularly SMEs, and startups collaborating with tier suppliers and OEMs, to comprehend these regulations to ensure compliance and maintain secure and reliable automotive products.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of the cybersecurity landscape in the automotive industry.
  • Acquire knowledge of current and emerging cybersecurity regulations and standards in the automotive sector. (e.g., ISO/SAE 21434, CSMS, SUMS)
  • Understand the rationale behind these regulations and how they contribute to risk management and cybersecurity.
  • Learn how to apply these standards to develop secure systems and components.
  • Understand the legal and financial implications of both compliance and non-compliance.

Prerequisites:

Participants should have a basic understanding of automotive systems and components. Some background in IT or cybersecurity could be beneficial but not essential, as the workshop is designed to introduce the concepts from the ground up.
