Join us for an engaging workshop about autism, where we'll explore topics like language preferences (neurodiverse, takiwatanga, and more), autistic strengths, sensory processing, communication styles, and managing anxiety.
Through discussions, visuals, and interactive activities, participants will gain valuable insights into the autistic experience and how to better understand and support our neurodivergent whānau.
Sanam Bagherian, an autism specialist facilitator with Altogether Autism since 2019, holds a Ph.D. in autism psychology. With over 13 years of experience supporting children, families, and autistic adults, Sanam is a passionate clinician and educator. Sanam has published multiple studies and presented an international events, including the 5th World Congress on Positive Psychology.
This talk is suitable for autistic people, parents/whānau/caregivers, as well as professionals.
