Our next monthly support meeting at RISC is on Monday 12th January 2026 at 7.30pm.
Madeline Magistrado will be introducing us to the concept of art therapy. Also known as art psychotherapy, this offers an alternative to traditional talking therapies, which may not feel accessible or helpful for everyone. It provides a confidential, non-judgmental space to explore thoughts, feelings and experiences through the medium of art, and can be useful on a short or a long-term basis.
To demonstrate the power of art therapy, Madeline will lead us in a simple exercise, giving us a chance to experience directly what our approach to drawings can reveal about ourselves. No artistic skill is necessary for this & all materials will be provided. There will be plenty of time for questions, chat & refreshments during the session.
Madeline is a Reading based HCPC state registered art psychotherapist and clinical supervisor, with over 14 years of experience. She works with all ages, in private practice and in schools. She offers long term psychotherapy to adults who would like to explore their mental health difficulties through in depth, psychodynamic based art psychotherapy.
