About this Event

Introduction to Advice First Aid

Date: 19th September 2024, 10am-3pm

Location: Citizens Advice Brighton and Hove, Hove Town Hall, Tisbury Rd, BN3 3BQ

This introduction to Advice First Aid is aimed at volunteers, staff and community leaders working directly with service users in the Brighton and Hove area. The training is free and provides an overview of: the benefits system, housing options in Brighton and Hove, immigration and debt.

The purpose of the training is to develop attendees' skills and knowledge to help them become 'Advice First Aiders'. This means they can go back into their community and help their service users by: sharing reliable information, signposting to specialist advice services and guiding them on the next steps they need to take.

As an Advice First Aider, you will help to direct service users to the help they need for the problems they face.
