Intro to Basic Principles of Adlerian Parenting is a two-day workshop that introduces the basic principles of Adlerian parenting. The main tenets of Adlerian parenting include mutual respect, encouragement, and positive discipline. This workshop will also describe how to design a group workshop based on the S.T.E.P. (systematic training in effective parenting) model for parents that provides practical tools to help raise capable children.

Leading a group activity: You will be asked to lead an activity (discussion/activity/role play) that would typically be part of a parenting course. You will be evaluated based on your understanding of the concept you are presenting, the running of the activity, and your interaction with those participating.

Reflections of overall goals: You are required to write a reflection (maximum two pages type written each) on the overall goals of a parenting class:

1. Developing a better understanding of their children 2. Promoting a philosophy of positive parenting
