Paint Van Gogh’s masterpieces in his unique style!
About this Event

We will provide you with a gentle introduction to Van Gogh, teaching you about his painting techniques, the compositions and colour theories of his paintings, his brush works and a little about where he drew his inspiration. We will also teach you how to read his paintings.

You will be guided through your painting step by step, our workshops are suitable for painters of all levels, whether you’re a regular painter or even if you haven’t picked up a brush since high school, our workshops are the perfect blend of fun and learning and are a perfect activity for you to escape into during your weekends.

We will bring along a selection of Van Gogh’s paintings to use as references. Our workshops aren’t just about copying what’s In front of you, they’re about learning what’s behind them and about how the artists created their works.

This workshop is located in an independent café bar in the heart of manchester. Delicious food and drinks are available to purchase.

*Towards the end of the workshop there will be an opportunity for you to get your photo taken. We will use these photos for social media and promotional use. Please let us know if you're not comfortable with this.

Knowledge required

• Beginner friendly - all levels welcome.

Materials (all provided)

• Acrylic paint on canvas

• All of the equipment and materials needed for your class.

• Protective equipment such as aprons.

What to bring

• Comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting a little paint on.

• A carrying bag for take your artworks home.
