During this in-person gathering, you'll learn the basics of wildlife observation from Jason & Brigitte of Feral Forest Folk who are passionate about the subject. Discover the secrets of identifying differnt speicies of birds and tracking animals.
Through engaging activities and interactive sessions, you'll gain valuable insights and practical skills that will enhance your future observations of wildlife. From birdwatching to tracking footprints, this event promises to be both educational and fun!

What you will learn:
Common winter birds in New England
Their habitat, nesting, feeding, behavior etc.
How to attract them to your backyard
Tips and Tricks on Birdwatching
Common animals in the area to track
Their habitat and behaviors
How to identify their tracks
Other signs such as nesting, dens and scat!
A full PDF of birds and animal tracking will be sent a week before the class!
This is a rain, snow or shine event outdoors! Be sure to bring the following:
1.) Lunch, water and snacks you would like!
2.) Make sure to bring a small backpack, pack extra socks and wear weather appropriate clothing and shoes. Weather dependent- Snowshoes, gaiters, ice spikes, trekking poles etc. Dress warm!
3.) Notebook or journal for taking notes on your observations
4.) Binoculars- Optional
5.) Something dry to sit on like a small lightweight pad.
Please be prepared to be outside!
