About this Event
Swim in an idyllic mountain lake tucked away within Gwydyr Forest high above Betws-y-Coed.
We'll meet at the Alpkit store in Betws-y-Coed for a quick intro before heading into the Great Outdoors.
It’s only a short, uphill hike to a beautiful woodland lake.
After an invigorating swim we’ll chat about staying safe when you're swimming outdoors and give you some great pointers for planning your own adventures.
There will be hot drinks and cake waiting for us at Alpkit on our return. We like cake VERY much.
The Alpkit crew will be on hand to talk about wild swimming clothing and equipment.
No experience necessary.
You will need a swimming costume, big towel and some footwear to wear in the water.
Please bring warm layers for after the swim.
You'll need to be happy walking approx 5 km (total), some of which will be uphill.
This session will be run by qualified Mountain Leaders and Swim Guides all of whom hold an outdoor first aid qualification.
