About this Event
Looking for a unique one-time experience—something creative and fun? Whether you’re planning a date night, a night out with friends, or just treating yourself, this workshop is the perfect way to try the pottery wheel without a long-term commitment.
In this 2-hour class, you’ll learn the basics of centering clay, pulling walls, and shaping a simple vessel. Our instructor will guide you step by step, making it easy and enjoyable—even if it’s your very first time.
You’ll leave with:

- 1–2 handmade clay creations
- A memorable, creative experience

After your piece is fired, you’ll have the option to:
- Come back to paint it in a follow-up session, or
- Turn it into a candle in our candle-pouring add-on workshop.Both are offered at a special discounted rate for workshop participants.
The Aftermath:
After your class, your piece will remain in our studio for processing. First, it will be left to fully dry until it reaches the bone-dry stage. Once ready, it will be fired in our kiln for its first (bisque) firing.
After the bisque firing, one of our studio technicians will glaze your piece using the color you selected. It will then go through a final glaze firing before being placed on our pickup shelves.
Please allow 2–4 weeks for the full process to be completed.Disclaimer: Mercado Art Studio can store your works for up to two weeks after your first notification, and our staff will send you up to two courtesy reminder texts, but after two weeks, all unclaimed works will be donated.
