About this Event
*This event is open to NYU Students, Staff, and Faculty only.*
In this in-person workshop, students will join us to learn the basics of creating woven textiles. Participants will learn the basic weaving switches including the twill stitch and plain weave as well as how to read a pattern. Participants will also be able to design and laser cut their own looms based on the project they would like to create. By the end of the workshop, a small woven bookmark will be made using pre laser cut looms and combs! All materials will be provided.
*This workshop is open to all current NYU student, staff, and faculty and will take place in-person at the NYU MakerSpace located in the Tandon School of Engineering on the Downtown Brooklyn campus.*
