Welcome to Intro to Watercolor | Painting Irises! Join us for a fun and relaxing day of painting at the beautiful Horton Iris Garden. This in-person 2-hour course event is perfect for beginners who want to learn the basics of watercolor painting, but is also beneficial to those with some art background. As a science illustrator, I'll go over the basics of outlining and sketching the form of the subject (in this case, an iris, of course!), recognizing light and shadow areas, using color theory, and how to perform basic watercolor techniques and washes.
