In this introductory workshop you will dip your toes in the metaphysical realm of tarot cards. Origins, history, symbolism, composition, and modern day archetypal uses for the cards will be explored. Original tarot cards such as the Rider-Smith-Waite are composed of 78 pictoral cards often associated with elements, archetypes, numerology and occult symbolism. The system is complex and often misunderstood. Ways to read the cards intuitively without a guidebook will be explained.Questions and discussion in this workshop are strongly encouraged. Everyone is at different parts of their tarot journey and level of understanding. This fun and engaging workshop will set you on a path for further exploration and prepare you for intermediate courses in the future.
The second half of class will be a tarot reading circle where you are free to connect with peers: pull cards, give, receive or observe readings in a supportive setting.
Hand-outs will be given as well as your very own one card reading from a professional tarot reader.

Dianne Mattucci is a licensed massage therapist, Reiki Master Teacher and professional tarot reader originally from Salem, Massachusetts. She has taught several tarot classes for beginners, advanced and the curious alike. She brings her magick to Portland, ME.
