Welcome to Intro to Taiko Drumming!
Tatsumaki Taiko will be teaching a new "Intro to Taiko" course for absolute beginners on six Sundays, starting January 18 through February 22 - 2pm to 3:30pm.
The classes will be at our studio: 4521 Barrett Ave, Richmond CA. We supply the equipment and materials for the classes. No prior experience required.
Lessons are taught using both Western and Japanese instruction methods. Learn to play taiko, make new friends, learn about Japanese culture, and have fun.
The full "Intro to Taiko" course is 6 Sunday classes - $145 fee is for the full course
$30 per class drop-in is available, paid in person only.
Payment can also be made by PayPal, Zelle, Check, or Cash.

Each class starts with a review of basic taiko techniques, kuchishowa, kata
Each class will review the topics covered in the previous class(es)
Students will learn the basic rhythms of a song over the 6 week course
The topic of one class will include a discussion on the history of taiko
