Join the Iowa City Swing Dance club for a beginner-friendly introduction to swing dancing! These lessons are open to all - regardless of experience. Learn the basic steps for the first time, learn a new role, or brush up on the basics. No dance partner is needed.THURSDAY SCHEDULE
Beginner Lesson | 7:00 - 7:45 PM
Social Dance & Practice (all levels) | 7:45 - 8:15 PM
Level 2 Lesson | 8:15 - 9:15 PM
VENUE: Masonic Lodge. This is down the street from the Iowa City Public Library. There is free parking in the Chauncey parking ramp after 6 p.m.
COST: $10 per evening or $5 for students.
This series starts on Sept. 4 and ends on Sept. 25. We recommend attending the entire 4-lesson series because concepts and moves will build on each other throughout each lesson. However, drop-ins are welcome anytime, with the understanding that they may not get the most out of the lesson, having missed prior lessons in the series.
