How often do you shoot in studio with your clients? Are you looking for more guidance with photography lighting so you can feel confident walking in to your next studio session?
Many photographers feel nervous working in a professional photo studio simply because they don't have much practice! If you made it this far, we would love for you to join us for this 2-hour lighting workshop to get you through the basics of professional studio lighting. Our mission is to get you ready to walk into any photography studio feeling confident and ready to tackle your next big project.
This workshop will be hosted at HGAB Studios, a professional photo and video studio located in Wynwood/Midtown. This facility is equipped with industry-standard equipment and knowledgeable staff with vast experience in photography and production.

What Do I Bring?
Please be ready to take notes on a computer or notebook. If you'd like to bring your own camera you are more than welcome but not required. Be prepared to ask any questions or clarify any doubts you may have about studio lighting.
What Equipment Will We be Using?
This Lighting Workshop will be taught using Profoto lighting gear and modifiers.
What is the Parking Situation?
Free parking is first-come, first-serve. Metered Parking is also available on location.
May I Bring A Guest To This Event?
This workshop has a limited number of seats available. Please make sure to secure a ticket for both you and and any guests you'd like to bring along !

Quick Camera Settings Overview:
A quick overview of the camera settings to be used for the shoot
Lighting Equipment Overview and Setup:
All lighting equipment will be laid out on a table and explained in detail, including how it will be
used and installed, with the active participation of attendees.
Equipment:
• Studio lights (continuous or strobe lights)
• Light modifiers (softboxes, umbrellas, reflectors, snoots etc.)
• Light stands
Connecting a Camera to a Laptop and Monitor:
Explore various methods of connecting your camera and understand the significance of using
a monitor.
Connecting a Camera Trigger to Lights:
Provide a brief overview of how to connect a camera trigger and assist attendees with using
camera triggers.
Introducing the Model:
Presenting the model and providing quick tips for collaborating with models.
Posing:
A summary of tried-and-true poses.
Live Demonstration:
Demonstrate lighting setups with the model. Show how different lighting positions and
modifiers affect the model's appearance. (Rembrandt lighting, Frontal light, hard light, etc)
Invite Participants to shoot:
Each participant gets a chance to shoot with the model using the lighting setup.
Q&A Session:
Conclude with a question and answer session to address any remaining questions participants
may have.
Wrap-Up:
Summarize the key takeaways from the workshop and provide resources for further
learning and workshops.
