Intro To Sewing (with Machine) @ G Street Fabrics
Join us in our dynamic, interactive weekly class, "Introduction to Sewing," at the G Street Fabrics of Rockville, Maryland. Perfect for the absolute beginner and the rustier operator alike, this hands-on class is especially designed to provide a good, solid introduction to the world of sewing. You will work with a brand-new Bernina 335 sewing machine, provided individually for your use during the class, assuring a very smooth and satisfying sewing experience.
Each class is either 60 or 90 minutes in length and will teach you a multitude of very valuable sewing basics. You will learn how to set up, thread your machine, master the various stitches, and understand many different fabrics with the help of our more experienced instructor. At the end of this class, some time will be allowed to practice your straight and zig-zag stitch, building a foundation that will give you hands-on practice of what you have learned, further enhancing your confidence in your abilities.
By the end of this course, you'll have a solid foundation in sewing and be well-prepared to tackle more advanced projects. To support your learning journey, we provide a detailed recap of each class, so you can review the notes at home and continue practicing your new skills. Our small class sizes ensure personalized attention, making sure you get the most out of each session.
