About this Event
In this class participants will learn how to use rope for fun and sexy play! Basic safety and consent will be covered as well as knots and ties that can be used to restrain a partner. Participants will also learn a chest and body harness that can be worn as a sexy accessory in or out of the bedroom! Dress comfortably in form fitting clothing (like for a yoga class) and bring a water bottle and a yoga mat as we will be working on the floor.
Everyone Is Welcome! People of all genders, orientations, ages (18 and older) and abilities are encouraged to come. A “couple” is defined as a pair of people – friends make great workshop buddies!
All rope & safety scissors are 20% off at Awakening for workshop attendees.
Please note: this is NOT a suspension class, we will be doing "floor" ties only. The skills learned in the class will help create a strong foundation for later study of suspension and more advanced rope work if desired.Required Supplies:One 25’ - 32’ length of cotton or nylon rope and safety scissors, longer rope is helpful for larger bodies and more elaborate ties. Please also bring a yoga may and water bottle!
Registration and shopping at 5:30, we will lock the doors and begin the workshop promptly at 6PM, no late arrivals permitted!
$40 per couple - each ticket admits two.
About Your Instructor: Julia DiVerdi owns Starlight Studio, an alternative dance studio, here in Fort Collins as well as directs and performs with The Cupcake Cabaret Burlesque Revue and Sumatra Belly Dance. She is passionate about dance being accessible and welcoming to everyone and approaches teaching with both fun and focus. An experienced rope bottom for over two decades, Julia began developing her own curriculum and has been teaching rope classes in Northern Colorado in 2021.
