Together we'll learn the steps involved in piecing a quilt block, creating a quilt sandwich, quilting layers together, and adding your bias tape. Your finished piece would make a great wall hanging, doll quilt, or placemat. A working sewing machine will be required, along with a neutral colored thread.
Lindsay lives in rural Winona county with her family where she raises sheep, tends a garden, and leans into lifelong learning. Making is deeply ingrained in who she is and is the way she has worked to build community in her adult life. Her focus of sewing and quilting is tied to practical uses of handcrafts - making things to be worn, used, and loved.
This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Southeastern Minnesota Arts Council thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts & cultural heritage fund.
