Intro to Pickleball: Fall Beginner Classes
Paddles up, Orlando! Whether you’ve never picked up a paddle or you’ve heard the buzz and want to try it out, this class is for you! Join us for a fun, beginner-friendly pickleball lesson right in the heart of Central Florida.
We’ll cover rules, techniques, and tips to get you playing confidently – all in a relaxed, inclusive environment.
🎯 What you'll learn:
- Serving and scoring basics
- Court zones/positioning and gameplay
- Safety tips and etiquette
🧠 No experience necessary! Just bring your energy and a willingness to try something new. We'll have paddles and pickleballs ready for you to jump right in.
👟 What to wear and bring:
- Comfortable & casual clothing
- Sneakers
- Water bottle (1L highly recommended)
- Hat, towel, sunscreen, bug spray (optional)
👥 Who can attend: Open to all skill levels and ages – especially beginners!
About the instructor: I'm a passionate pickleball enthusiast from Pickleball Paddlers who’s learned the ropes and is excited to teach the basics of this fast-growing sport. While I’m not a certified coach, I’ve taught friends, family, and local groups and love sharing the fun with new players. This class is all about learning, laughing, and getting active together!
Register now – Drop-ins are unavailable at this time. Kindly purchase a ticket in advance to ensure the instructor will be present. This event is rain or shine unless there is lightning or heavy thunderstorms in the area.

The official address to the MLK Jr Park Pickleball Courts is 1061 W Comstock Ave. HOWEVER, the courts are brand new and ONLY GOOGLE MAPS will take you to the right location.
If you are using Apple Maps or another gps app, please use 452 Harper St. The courts are right off of Fairbanks Ave behind Orlando Health LabWorks on the corner of Comstock Ave and Ward Ave.
