Welcome to Intro to Pickleball!
This 1 hour course will teach you the basics of pickleball from the ground up. Starting with a brief introduction to the sport, followed by the basic rules, court, and equipment regulations. Then you will be taken onto the court to learn hitting techniques and actually hit balls to start developing skills with real game-based instructions! You will also learn important aspects such as keeping score, basic game strategies, serving, and returning. This class is perfect for beginners or those needing a fundamentals refresher. Taught by a PPR Certified Professional Coach with real-time instructions and feedback.
Beginner Round Robin
There will be a 2 hour beginner round robin immediately after the introduction class, included in the price. A round robin is a format where players rotate partners and opponents in a series of games, ensuring everyone gets to play multiple matches. You can stay or leave, but we highly suggest putting your new skills into action in a welcoming and fun round robin.
Space is limited to only 16 new players.

Meet Coach Aaron
Aaron Phu, a PPR Certified Professional Coach since early 2023, is also an Engage Pickleball ambassador. He holds a BS and MS in Aerospace Engineering from Parks College-Saint Louis University. A professional engineer with a passion for racket sports, Aaron has played competitive badminton for over 20 years and coached many players. He started playing pickleball in 2021, excelling in PPA, USA Pickleball, and local tournaments. Aaron leverages his badminton coaching techniques and teaching experience from UCF to help hundreds of players improve. He offers private and group lessons, clinics, camps, drilling sessions, and hosts corporate and private pickleball events for all skill levels.
