
About this Event
This two-day workshop will allow you to hand-build a few (2-4) functional pieces, then create designs with coloured slips and underglazes to apply to the pieces you made the week prior.
- This workshop takes place on Saturday, November 29th, and December 6th.
- Materials, including clay, tools, coloured slips and underglazes will be provided.
- Day One: November 29th, create your pieces that you will later decorate.
- Day Two: December 6th, Monoprinting day.
- We will fire your pieces at the end of December (Expect to pick up your creations sometime in January).
What is Monoprinting??
Monoprinting pottery is a printmaking technique used to transfer images onto clay surfaces. It involves creating a design on a flat surface, like a plaster bat, using underglaze or slip, and then transferring it to a piece of leather-hard clay. This process is known for producing unique, one-of-a-kind prints.
