About this Event
Macro Photo Walk at
Sunday, November 10th, 8am - 10am PST
Walk with Heather through Bellevue Botanical Garden and learn about easy ways to get better closeup photos with a macro lens. You’ll have an opportunity to test SIGMA loaner gear and watch Heather as she shares how to find critters or interesting flowers. This walk will cover things like shutter speed and aperture for close-up photos, plus macro photography composition, subject framing, and techniques for getting good focus. Heather will be teaching her methods on how to SLOW DOWN and see the world so many people miss. *Please be advised that while we strive to ensure easy access for all, due to the naturally varied topography, portions of any walk may be inaccessible to those with mobility concerns.
Although not required, it is strongly recommended that you attend Heather Larkin's class on Saturday, November 9th.
Weather: As we know, here in the PNW the weather in November can change minute to minute. Fortunately, Sigma lenses can handle a light drizzle, but participants are responsible for weatherproofing their personal gear. We will be watching the weather closely on Saturday, and if the weather is forecasted for full-on rain we will need to cancel and notify attendees via Eventbrite. Please be sure you can receive emails and notifications from Eventbrite. Unfortunately, we won't be able to reschedule.
Loaner Gear: Sigma Rep Aaron Norberg will be on hand loaning a limited selection of macro lenses. Plan to arrive 10-15 minutes early if you are checking out a lens.
