Are you new to kayaking and don't know where to begin? Come out and learn the basics of kayak safety and technique at Memorial Lake State Park. Not only is kayaking a great way to stay active, but nothing beats the views and tranquility of floating on the lake. Kayak, paddle, and lifejacket provided. Meet at Lower Rd. Boat Launch. Limited spots available. Prior registration is required and can be done on our calendar of events page: https://events.dcnr.pa.gov/memorial_lake_state_park. $5 (cash or check) donation to the Friends of Memorial Lake and Swatara State Parks during time of event.
Those under 18 MUST be with a parent. Participants must be 12 years or older and able to handle an adult kayak to join us. If interested in bringing a child under 12, please email us at [email protected] to check for tandem kayak availability.
