Intro to Junk Journaling: Making Treasure out of Trash
This workshop is hosted by the . There will also be another session of this workshop on Sunday, March 29 from 12:15 - 1:15pm.
In this hands-on, beginner-friendly class, you’ll learn how to transform “junk” like paper ephemera, packaging, and found materials into a personal journal that celebrates memory keeping, creativity, and storytelling. We’ll explore simple techniques for layering, gluing, and journaling with intention, while embracing imperfection and play.
Each attendee will receive a junk journal starter kit, including a small journal, glue stick, and a curated junk scrap pack, so you can jump right in and continue creating long after the festival ends. Please bring your own scissors and any additional journaling materials you’d like to use.
This class will be taught by Bay Area native and lifelong junk journaler, Alexandria (@alexandria.x.g), who has built a social media following by sharing approachable, easy-to-follow junk journaling ideas that encourage everyday creativity. We look forward to creating with you at the Fest!
Please note this ticket does not include entry to the SF Stationery Fest.
