On Thursday, October 9th, join us in store at 7pm for an intro to Japanese literature hosted by our resident aficionado Moti! We will be exploring Japan's thousand-plus years of literary history during this, our seventh annual free introductory workshop on Japanese literature! To get you started with a variety of authors and genres, we will discuss the origins of Japanese writing, the evolution of its poetry, prose, and theater over the centuries, and some favourites of our staff. This event is presented in conjunction with the JET Alumni Association of Quebec and Atlantic Canada (JETAA Q/A). This event is free, but space is limited, so please RSVP on TicketSource. Masks are not required, but will be provided at the door. After the lecture and a question and answer period, attendees will also have the opportunity to learn more about the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Programme through the experiences of former participants. The event is open to all, and we hope to see you there!
