Intro to Handmade Craft Tile - 5 Session Course

Learn the art of tile-making in this 5-session course. Guided by experienced ceramic instructors Liz Vandersteen and Sheila Staubus, you’ll create your own set of hand-carved tiles while exploring every step of the process - from forming to design transfer, carving, decorating, and glazing. Tiles will be oxidation fired to cone 7. Both beginners as well as those with experience are welcome as detailed hands-on instruction will be provided.
Each participant will finish the course with 6 handmade tiles, along with practical skills in tile construction, surface design, and glazing techniques.
