Intro to Genealogy Research
Are you looking to learn more about your family history or genealogy research? This class is ideal for those just beginning their journey into genealogy research. We'll introduces select basic concepts of genealogical searching like the caveats of family tree building and record searching and learning to understand and take note of context clues while searching. The focus is on providing the foundational steps to begin a basis of genealogical searching and family tree building. This course will include:
General ways on how to begin a traditional genealogy search from scratch.
A beginner's understanding of the various types of historical records that are out there to search.
Activities will include making a family tree and documenting it on a pedigree chart.
Taught by our own Wendy Kovar, Genealogy Guru with over 35 years of experience in family research.
