Gel plate printmaking is a newer method that involves layering up paint on a soft, gelatinous plate. This class will cover the basics of printmaking using a gel plate and how to use different texture, masking, image transfer and stenciling methods to make prints. Gel printing is like collaging with paint, you can mix many layers of textures and imagery to make a new composition. This method is extremely beginner friendly.FIND OUT MORE & REGISTER:

ABOUT THE TEACHING ARTIST: EMMA BRITTAN
Emma Brittain (she/her) is a teaching artist based in Buffalo, NY. She holds a Bachelors of Science in Theology and Art from Houghton University. Currently she teaches at Locust Street Art, The Foundry, and with Arts for Learning WNY. She loves teaching and practicing many different art disciplines including sculpture, printmaking, drawing, and painting. She has recently exhibited work in Box Gallery and Buffalo Art Movement.
