In this Intro to Djembe Drumming series, class facilitator Linda Foster teaches basic djembe technique and rhythms based on traditional West African music. From this series, you will learn basic rhythms that are useful in pursuing more advanced West African music, both traditional and contemporary. These are tools that can also be integrated with drum circle/community drumming as well as ritual drumming.Six-week series for $100
if paid in full the first week.
Drop-in rate is $20/class
No previous musical experience is required. Djembes are available for use during classes at no additional cost.
